Where in the World is Our Provincial

Proverbs 16:9 says, “The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.”
Our Provincial, Brother Justin Howson, OH, was first called to witness Christ’s healing love when he was growing up in Australia. Today he resides in Hamilton, Ontario, and follows the example of Jesus and His Apostles to go out into the world. The Lord has led his journeys from Rome, to Canada, to the United States, to England, to the Phillipines, and beyond. And there are many adventures ahead! Please join Brother Justin as he shares his stories from the road through the lens of a Hospitaller Brother. We kindly ask that you also hold him in your prayers as he treks around the world as a pilgrim of peace, justice, and hospitality.

Brother Justin is currently in Hamilton, Ontario. He is moving furniture into Emmanuel House to welcome guests to the newly renovated facility. Emmanuel House has undergone extensive renovations and was temporarily located at St. Joseph’s West Campus during construction.  Emmanuel House is 10 bed residential hospice for individuals facing life-limiting illness. It is a place for guests to experience their end-of-life journey with dignity and comfort in a place that feels like home.

Emmanuel House is a program provided by Good Shepherd Centres, a sponsored ministry of the Hospitaller Order of St. John of God-Province of the Good Shepherd in North America.
