General Chapter
The 70th General Chapter of the Hospitaller Order of St. John of God will take place October 15 - November 7, 2024 in the southern Polish pilgrimage town of Czestochowa.
Czestochowa is approximately 220 kilometers from Warsaw and is known worldwide for the icon of the Black Madonna of Czestochowa in the Jasna Góra (Bright Mountain) Monastery. The image of the Virgin Mary is venerated by the Polish population as a national symbol and is the destination of several million pilgrims every year.
Preparations for this decisive event have been underway throughout the Order for over a year. Everyone's help, encouragement, ideas, suggestions and, above all, prayers are needed so this Chapter can fulfil the goals and expectations as set under the motto “HOSPITALITY IN A CHANGING WORLD”.
