our mission
We are called to witness Christ’s healing love, as expressed by our charism of hospitality, through a community of faith and a compassionate service to God’s suffering people.
Locations
We devote ourselves to the sick and suffering. We serve the mentally impaired, the physically disabled, the elderly, the homeless, and those suffering from drug and alcohol dependency.
Vocations
We are all called to follow Christ through baptism. Each does this in a different way. For some, that way may be a call to follow Christ through religious life.
Founder
The followers of St. John of God today sum up his spirit in the word hospitality. “Do good for yourself,” he said, “by doing good for others.”

Vice Admiral Jerome M. Adams, U.S. Surgeon General visited Camillus House and held a press conference as part of outreach efforts by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. Their team is meeting with community leaders and organizations to personally observe efforts to protect the health and safety of residents during the pandemic.
According to our 'sources,' he liked the work we are doing and ‘spoke highly of his time here.' For the record, we are quite proud.

'Everything you do with Faith will produce good results." Camillus House Operations Assistant Jessica King shows Brother Gary Hill, O.H. one of the many "Nets of Love" blankets she and her four children, ages 3-11, made to help protect homeless individuals from mosquitos at night.
100 netting blankets went to our Day Center and 20 more will be used for the Lazarus Project. We join dad and Camillus House Vice President of Housing Kenneth King in being so proud of this beautiful act of kindness. The King family rules! Thank you. #actsofkindness Camillus.org
